Today there was a little visitor sitting on my mother's fence post. I recently bought a more complicated digital camera off ebay. Now, I'm in the "trial and error" mode of taking pictures. The little fella was very patient and let me take several shots. I'm shaky when trying to handhold my camera, so, he sat there while I sat up my tripod. He didn't seem to mind when the flash went off in his eyes. He just cocked his little head with curiosity. I've always found a praying mantis fascinating. When I was little I was afraid of them because my mother said they would bite me. Later on, someone told me they wouldn't, so I picked them up and played with them. Maybe I'm weird, but, I find them pretty cute.
